Backyard Makeover in Glastonbury
This project was one of many involved in the remodel of this home. The backyard remodel CT included an updated three season room and a new hot tub as well as new doors and siding on the rear of the house. The backyard itself was neglected for years and was in need of a transformation. The client realized that more of the return on investment in the house itself could be retained if the yard was updated as well.

The challenge presented to the design of this yard was the fact that there was a significant amount of rock ledge just beneath the surface. Some features and elevations had to modified during construction, but overall it flows very well.

The old deck was removed and a new landing was installed to facilitate access to the hot tub from both the living room and three season room to the rest of the yard. Acting as a hub, the remodeled three season room flows directly out to the hot tub, grill and fire pit areas. Overall flow was the key to this design.
